Diane is a profound and immensely skilled teacher and coach of Pilates. Her ability to gauge exactly what is needed helped me through a very prolonged, painful condition. She worked slowly and deeply with me, finding ways to engage my body by respecting its neuro-muscular contractions, and softening them into release and ease. Her experience and body-centered approach made it possible for me to by-pass defensive patterns and give my body an integrated sense of well-being. I have been going to Bolder Pilates for over 12 years. Donna and company are second to none! After only doing in-person instruction, I was skeptical about trying sessions in a virtual format during the COVID 19 pandemic…BOY, was I wrong! The virtual classes are in some ways even better than in-person. I feel like the teacher is talking directly to me during the Zoom sessions. She is able to modify for us as needed even over Zoom. Some of the most challenging classes I've taken have been via Zoom. Even virtually, Bolder Pilates is able to balance challenge and support, which has always been one of my favorite things about going there. I am looking forward to returning to in-person sessions but I have not missed a beat by participating in the virtual classes. Simply the best!

I’m so pleased with the progress my wife and I have made in the last several months with Nicole’s help! When we started working with Nicole, we had not been exercising in a long time and had no experience in Pilates. We’re doing exercises now that I wouldn’t have guessed we’d be able to do. I've been working with Lexy at Bolder Pilates for about 4 months now with incredible results. Like most Boulder, 30-somethings, I've been in and out of physical therapy, orthopods, and private/group gym training and classes as the result of a active lifestyle. Most of those focus on pain management, not long term corrective exercises and strengthening. I've never had such focused and isolated muscle strengthening like I've gotten and Bolder Pilates. The ability to not workout from a script but rather build a session based on how I'm feeling that moment and adjusting in real-time when posture, pain or kinematics dictates is incredible and effective. I've never done anything that has been so beneficial to my skiing and cycling. Looking at results, there really isn't a bigger bang for the buck in town. Additionally, it's served as a great way to combat the negative effects of a office/desk day job.

The ladies at Bolder Pilates are not only amazing instructors, they are also just amazing people. I came in with fairly severe sciatica and a couple of injured joints and Donna and her team all did an amazing job figuring out what I could work on to strengthen my stabilizing muscles and fix my issues. In May when I started I couldn't walk more than half a mile, much less run or hike. Now, in September, I just climbed Longs Peak and ran a 5k with NO pain. I’ve been doing private sessions with both Emily and Dani at Bolder Pilates for the past few months. At first I wasn’t sure about splitting my time between two instructors, but it has turned out to be really beneficial. Both instructors are very knowledgeable and pay close attention to form. Lexy is what you would call a natural, she calmly teaches large groups of people and is able to keep us all in step. I was 16 weeks pregnant when I worked up the courage to begin working out again after a complicated first trimester. I was a bit apprehensive about trying something new while pregnant. Lexy put me immediately at ease with her knowledge of and expertise with pregnant women at any stage. I discovered Bolder Pilates at the beginning of my third trimester of pregnancy. As I gained weight in my belly, I felt I needed help to achieve a good sweaty workout without overdoing it and causing harm to my body or baby. That’s exactly what Bolder Pilates offers! During every session I got a great full-body workout, exercising muscle groups that I wasn’t even aware of. Donna made sure I didn’t overdo it, since ligaments are prone to over-stretch while pregnant. She taught me how to engage my abdominal muscles while breathing, a simple exercise that when practiced regularly, would help prevent me from Diastasis Recti, a possible side-effect of pregnancy. Now 3 months postpartum, I think those exercises helped prevent my abdominal muscles from separating, making the healing process much easier. I also learned safe exercises to do at home on my exercise ball and foam roller that helped alleviate the daily aches and pains during late stages of pregnancy. I left every session feeling energized and looked forward to the next session, since Donna is so fun to hang out with!
